This newsletter was requested by a lovely follower over on Instagram, so here’s a full-length, text version of the Things To Do Before 2025 series. This is a more in-depth (and personal) version of what you’ve seen on Instagram.
Here’s what this post entails:
Step 1: Declutter — Encapsulates every room of your home and reasons why you should declutter each item
Step 2: Finance Planning — From reflection to strategizing, these steps will ensure that your finances are in check in the new year.
Step 3: 25 in 25 — How to set achievable goals for yourself, and a closer look at each of my 25 goals
Before we start, let’s address methods of decluttering and what to do once you’ve considered them as part of the “declutter” pile.
If this is an item that’s completely broken (unsalvageable) and you don’t have the energy to Google how to best discard it, then throw it out. Unless it’s something like batteries and medication, then please dispose of them properly.
If this is an item that has some life left to them, you can either give it away to a friend/family member or sell it.
If this is a brand new item, same as above. Or you can re-gift it when the time is right, on a birthday or Christmas.

Email: Go through your inbox. If you’re the type of person to have 1k+ emails in your inbox, you’ve got work to do. There might be some third-party apps to help you get through it faster. While you’re at it, implement these:
Create folders and use them. This is what mine looks like. I use number formatting for the labels so that I could order them properly by priority and category.
Unsubscribe to emails as you go. There are definitely some third-party apps out there to help you with it (though I’ve found that sometimes they don’t always work). Going into the bottom of your email and hitting “unsubscribe” is the most effective way to stop promotional emails from the sender, for good.
Empty your trash and junk folders at the end. I do this every day and it is so satisfying.
